STW Systems suppressors are the most technically advanced, engineered and designed sound suppressors available.

The patented Internal Suppressor Module (ISM) is used in all suppressors.  The ISM is a single one-piece insert that starts as a piece of solid bar stock into which certain geometric designs are milled.  The ISM eliminates the use of multiple internal parts (baffles, spacers, diffusers, etc.) as found in all conventional suppressors.

After milling, the ISM is screwed and locked in the suppressor tube without the use of welds, locking rings, etc.  The ISM will never loosen or shoot loose as can the internal parts in conventional suppressors.

The in-barrel suppressor (IBS) models are counter-bored barrels with the one-piece module inserted to make a totally suppressed barrel. The IBS is the only real in-barrel suppressed barrel. The one-piece module is designed to be unscrewed and removed in order to clean the barrel. After cleaning, the one-piece module is then screwed back into the barrel while maintaining zero.

The IBS is not the conventional integral suppressed weapon that has multiple piece design internals, shortened or ported barrels with the suppressor tube extended back to the receiver. A number of manufacturers make a counter-bored barrel but because of patent restrictions, they have to use their multiple piece design internals. Cleaning and re-zeroing are an issue with their models.

Handgun suppressors are made from 7075 aluminum with built-in stainless steel barrel threads that eliminate the problem of premature thread wear as can be found with aluminum threads.  Generally, each suppressor is interchangeable between handguns of like caliber.

STW Systems does not and will never use recoil boosters on any handgun suppressor.  Because of their excessive size and weight, recoil boosters have to be used on most conventional handgun suppressors to help reduce cycling problems.  Recoil boosters artificially cycle the handgun and can put abnormal stress on various parts of the gun.

All other suppressors, from submachine gun to large caliber, are made from G7 titanium.  The M4 series has an added high temperature metal rated in excess of 2000 degrees.  External finish on all suppressors is a ceramic-based material rated up to 1600 degrees.  No maintenance is required.

Sound reduction eliminates the use of hearing protection with accuracy and repeatability that of the unsuppressed weapon or better.
